and Former Solicitor General
DUI trained in Standardized Field Sobriety Testing, Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus and other types of nystagmus, DUI drugged drivers and Boating Under the Influence.

Mack's first job as a prosecutor was an assignment to the

Mack was trained in Standardized Field Sobriety testing with Law Enforcement Officers.  He has also had detailed training in Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus (taught by an optometrist), as well as training on prosecuting the drugged driver.  Mack knows the "ins and outs" of DUI law and DUI detection.  Mack knows when they have done it right and most importantly knows when they have done it wrong.

Mack grew up in the Augusta area attending Westside High School as well as Augusta State University.  Mack's father Ron Taylor is retired from the Aiken County Sheriff's Office.  Mack's step-father was Herbert E. Kernaghan Jr.  Judge Kernaghan at the time of his passing in 2006 was the Chief Judge of Juvenile Court for the Augusta Judicial Circuit.  Mack grew up working in Judge Kernaghan's law office.  Mack has learned dedicated client service from watching Judge Kernaghan practice law and now brings that to you.

After graduating from Augusta State University, Mack attended law school at Ohio Northern University in Ada, Ohio.  Ohio Northern has a rich tradition in educating lawyers.  Federal District Court Judge Anthony Alaimo graduated from Ohio Northern University in 1940 with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
Judge Alaimo served on the bench for the Southern District of Georgia from 1971 till his passing in 2009.

Mack and his wife along with their two children attend Curtis Baptist Church in downtown Augusta.
